Pricing PSConfEU for a sustainable future
A Community Event That Has Always Prioritised Accessibility
Since its creation, PowerShell Conference Europe has been built around a simple principle: deliver a high-quality technical conference while keeping ticket prices as accessible as possible.
The standard base ticket price remained at €1,499 excluding VAT from 2016 through 2023. It increased to €1,749 in 2024 and has remained at that level since then, apart from a €1 adjustment in 2026.
| Conference Years | Standard base price excluding VAT |
| 2016-2023 | €1,499 |
| 2024-2026 | €1,750 |
The 2024 adjustment represented an increase of 16.7% after eight years at the same base price. The price then remained effectively unchanged through 2026.

According to Eurostat’s annual inflation data, the annual-average Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices for the euro area rose from 100.23 in 2016 to 128.76 in 2025, a cumulative increase of 28.5%. Across the same period, our standard base price increased by 16.7%. We chose not to pass every increase directly to attendees.
At the same time, our supplier quotes and planning data show a different pattern in key event-delivery categories. Venue, audiovisual, and staffing costs have often increased faster than general inflation from one year to the next. This is increasingly reducing the range of European locations that remain financially viable for the conference.
What the ticket supports
Recent editions of PSConfEU have brought together approximately 300 participants, around 35 speakers, and more than 70 technical sessions across four days.
The ticket supports more than access to sessions. It contributes to an independent programme, direct interaction with speakers and peers, professional event delivery, and the shared spaces that allow the PowerShell community to learn and build relationships.
How attendees and sponsors support PSConfEU

PSConfEU generates revenue from attendee ticket sales and sponsor packages. Sponsors help offset event costs, while early commitments improve cash flow and planning certainty before attendee sales are complete.
We are grateful to every sponsor that has supported PSConfEU over the years. Sponsor pricing will be reviewed annually using an approach similar to attendee pricing, with adjustments rounded to practical package prices and published in each year’s sponsorship brochure. The 2027 packages already reflect this approach and will be communicated when the brochure is published.
Sharing support across attendees and sponsors creates a more balanced and resilient model without making the conference dependent on either source alone.
Why sustainable funding protects independence
One of the strengths of PSConfEU has always been its independence.

The conference has grown around the needs of the community first. Our agenda, speaker selection process, and event experience are designed to maximise value for attendees rather than satisfy commercial objectives.
Maintaining that independence requires a healthy business model. Venue, audiovisual, staffing, and other delivery costs have followed a different trajectory from our ticket price. Continuing to hold prices below the economic reality of the event would eventually limit our choices, including the European locations in which PSConfEU can operate.
Why publish a long-term roadmap
We recognise that many attendees participate through employer-funded training and professional development budgets. The planned increases are intended to absorb expected inflation and cost pressure gradually rather than through sudden, substantial adjustments. Publishing the path in advance allows organisations to budget several years ahead.
Our Pricing Roadmap Through 2030
Starting with PSConfEU 2027, we plan to apply a gradual annual increase of €100 per year.
| Year | Standard base price excluding VAT | Year-on-year increase |
| 2026 | € 1,750 | Baseline |
| 2027 | € 1,850 | 5.7% |
| 2028 | € 1,950 | 5.4% |
| 2029 | € 2,050 | 5.1% |
| 2030 | € 2,150 | 4.9% |
All amounts in this roadmap exclude VAT. For event admission in the European Union, VAT is due in the country where the conference takes place. The host country therefore determines the applicable VAT rate and the final amount paid by attendees.
The fixed €100 adjustment means the percentage increase gradually declines from 5.7% in 2027 to 4.9% in 2030. Publishing both measures makes it easier to compare the roadmap with inflation and changes in event-industry costs.
If inflation, market conditions, or event-delivery costs fluctuate materially beyond the assumptions behind this roadmap, we reserve the right to adapt future prices.
We believe this roadmap offers the most responsible compromise between maintaining accessibility and ensuring the long-term viability of the event.
Supporting the conference experience

The strategy is not intended to recover every past increase or maximise short-term revenue. It is intended to keep PSConfEU sustainable while maintaining the quality of the conference experience.
It also gives us more flexibility when selecting future locations. Without gradual adjustments, rising venue and delivery costs could eventually price the conference out of locations that would otherwise be accessible and attractive to the community.
The additional revenue is intended to help support:
- High-quality conference venues in accessible European locations
- Professional audiovisual production and recording capabilities
- Comfortable networking spaces and community activities
- High-quality catering and attendee services
- Speaker support and community initiatives
- Maintaining and continuously enhancing the overall conference experience
PSConfEU is more than a collection of technical sessions. It is a unique opportunity for professionals from across Europe and beyond to learn, share experiences, grow their networks, and strengthen the PowerShell ecosystem together.
Looking ahead
The roadmap provides a predictable baseline while preserving opportunities for attendees and organisations to secure better value by committing early.
As part of this commitment, we will continue to offer our established ticketing structure:
- Early Bird Tickets in limited initial batches, rewarding early commitment while helping us reduce risk and fund initial costs such as venue deposits
- Standard Tickets during the main registration period, when we expect to sell most attendee tickets
- Late Bird Tickets shortly before the event, reflecting the additional work and constraints created after merchandise, meals, venue arrangements, and other supplier commitments have already been planned or booked

This approach rewards early commitment while helping us manage the event more effectively and continue delivering the high-quality experience our attendees expect.
We firmly believe that transparency, predictability, and fairness are the foundations of a sustainable pricing strategy.
The goal is not to catch up with the past, but to prepare responsibly for the future.
Thank you to every attendee, sponsor, speaker, volunteer, and community member who continues to make PowerShell Conference Europe possible. We look forward to welcoming you to the next chapter of PSConfEU.
And stay tuned for future updates and announcements regarding PSConfEU…
